There are many evaluation frameworks available but the 2 most popular are Donald Kirkpatrick’s 4 Level Evaluation Model and Joseph Phillips 5 Level Evaluation Model. Phillips evaluation model is build on the Kirkpatrick’s Model. The five levels of Phillips framework are: 1) Reaction 2) Learning 3) Job applications (application of learnings) 4) Business Results 5) Return on Investment. Majority of organizations conduct evaluations up to the 4th level, but rarely at the 5th Level because ROI evaluation (5th level) is expensive and difficult process.
